From Giulia
I only put a thing on this shelf after I have lived with it long enough to know what annoys me about it.
Most house slippers have a sole made of the same soft stuff as the rest of them. On a rug that is fine. On a kitchen floor that has just been mopped, it is a bar of soap.
So the first thing I looked at, before the lining or the colour or anything else, was the bottom. This one has a proper moulded rubber outsole with a tread you can feel with your thumb, the kind you would find on a walking shoe.
The second thing was the strap. It opens all the way flat, which means you can get into it without bending down and fighting with it, and close it as loose or as snug as the day calls for.

How do the sizes run?
Unisex, and roughly a half size generous to leave room for a thicker sock. S fits US women's 6 to 7, M fits 8 to 9, L fits 10 to 11 or US men's 8 to 9, XL fits US men's 10 to 12.
Can they be worn outside?
The outsole will handle the porch and the mailbox. They are built as indoor slippers, so anything longer will wear the tread down quickly.
Will the strap open wide enough?
It opens completely flat across the instep, so the slipper goes on without forcing the foot through a fixed opening.
